Fort Bend County

The Fort Bend side is surveillance-driven for mosquitoes: the county runs mosquito surveillance at ninety-plus locations and does not spray on request, which leaves the yard-level work to a private service.

Brazoria County

Pearland and Manvel sit in Brazoria County, where the Brazoria County Mosquito Control District runs ULV trucks and takes spray requests directly. Knowing which county a home is in changes the mosquito plan.

Why does the county matter for mosquitoes?
Fort Bend County only sprays on surveillance and disease detection, not on request, while Brazoria County runs trucks and takes resident spray requests. The public coverage is different on each side, so the private treatment plan is too.
